“I attended The New School from 2000-2006, for first through sixth grades and then went to Levy Middle School and Nottingham High School, where I graduated in 2012. I attended Syracuse University through Say Yes to Education and graduated in 2016 with my dual degree in inclusive elementary and special education.

I love the New School’s mission to foster independence and create an environment for all kids to learn. I especially loved my strong relationships with the teachers, Rebecca, Miranda and Dottie. I am currently starting my second year teaching as a sixth grade teacher in Cortland City School District and I love my job. As I get more comfortable in my classroom, I see elements of the New School’s philosophy peeking through; the ways I learned and now teach, my organization, systems and pedagogies all have pieces of my New School foundation.
